The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that an appropriate exercise intensity for aerobic conditioning is between 60 to 90 percent of heart rate max, or 50 to 80 percent of heart rate reserve or V02 max.1 The frequency of training should be a minimum of three days per week, for a duration of 20 to 60 minutes. If you are in an area where there are adults and children, hosting something for children will definitely bring consumers to your booth. At a big 10K run in Milwaukee, Wisc., the Elite Clubs (a group of three clubs) teamed up with the Sports Medicine Institute under one tent. They offered information to adults while the children were timed in a mini-obstacle course. Uechi Ryu came about when Kanbun Uechi left his homeland of Okinawa to avoid military service, although it can be argued that he went solely to learn of the Chinese fighting arts.
