Intense headaches that appear to be centered around the eyes may indicate glaucoma, one of the most common eye problems in men and women over 60.

Estrogen replacement therapy seemed a promising treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, or AD, after several small clinical trials. However, a recent study shows that estrogen replacement is not effective in slowing mental deterioration in Alzheimer’s patients. The report appears in the Feb. 23 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
To date, one systematic study(3) has been conducted to investigate music levels in aerobics and body-conditioning classes and their potential to damage the hearing of participants. Another recent study(5) on a possible relationship between aerobics classes and hearing loss was conducted through an affiliation with the University of New York College of Medicine.
