A Quick, Easy and Portable First Aid Kit in a Convenient Small Can or Container

Minor injuries are caused by silly mistakes and it’s convenient to have a quick, easy and portable first aid kit in a can. Healing can begin in less than optimal conditions, and it is usually better to treat a minor cut or scrape at the time it happens rather waiting.

With a minor monetary and temporal investment, you can construct a small first aid kit for your purse, briefcase or car. Use it for you or for a friend; you’ll be surprised how often you will want to do that.

Your purse or briefcase will do some knocking around, so choose a container that is durable. My band-aids came in a tin that was able to be re-used. This has been very efficient and did not cost any extra. The market options for inclusion in your kit are many.

You will want to have a small number of several different sizes of adhesive bandages. Butterfly-style adhesive bandages should also be chosen. As well as keeping three butterfly bandages, I like to keep five bandages of three different sizes. Cloth-style adhesive bandages are my personal favorite. After suffering through the wear and tear of my handbag, they still seem to adhere. Place several in a row to cover a larger injury, or choose an appropriate size to the injury if you have several sizes.

Anti-bacterial Cream

Fitting easily in your small container, small sample sizes as well as small tubes are available to buy when you are looking for anti-bacterial cream. The single application package sizes are desirable. While offering protection against infection, using the cream will begin the healing.

Wet wipes

In individual packets, pre-moistened personal wet wipes are convenient and easy to purchase. Some brands also possess antibacterial qualities. The wounded area will need to be cleaned. Before applying the anti-bacterial cream, gently remove as much debris as possible.

Pain relievers

A small plastic travel container filled with your favorite pain reliever is recommended for its re-usability. I find it saves a little money in the long run to reload the small plastic containers, and individual packets are also available.

Optional Items

You may choose to customize your small first aid kit to suit the needs of you and your family, depending on the size of your container. A very small pair of scissors, tweezers, eye drops, allergy tablets, and antacid tablets should be included.

In order to keep it handy and allow it to travel with you, carefully assemble your first aid kit in a can. Children can assemble this type of first aid kit, as it is an easy one.

With some external decoration for the container, they can serve as excellent and thrifty gifts. Be prepared all the time because you never know when the need may arise!
